Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped pistachio
  • 1 tsp Cardamom Rose Dust DONA
  • 1 tsp rosewater

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350F
  • Microwave the butter for 40 seconds until just melted but not hot.
  • In a large bowl, mix the melted butter with the sugars until well combined
  • Stir in the vanilla, rosewater and egg until incorporated
  • Add in the flour, baking soda, and salt
  • Mix dough until just combined. Dough should be soft and a little sticky, but not overly sticky.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips and pistachios.
  • Scoop out 1.5 tbs of dough and place 2 inches apart on a prepared baking sheet with parchment paper
  • Bake for 7-10 minutes or until the cookies are set. They will be puffy and appear underbaked in the middle.
  • While still hot on the baking sheet, sprinkle the cardamom rose dust over the cookies for a pretty pink color.

Notes

Dona Cardamom Rose Dust is completely optional but adds a nice aesthetic to the cookie.
